Nick brings clients a combination of experience and expertise that is unique to Canadian investors.

After years of recommending winning investment strategies for some of the country’s largest institutions, he’s found the personal relationships that result from managing individual client portfolios to be even more rewarding.

His experience in financial markets, securities analysis and portfolio management spans more than four decades, beginning his career as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1964 before moving into the finance and investment industry in 1969. He was the first analyst in Canada to publish regular portfolio strategy observations in 1973, and over the years he has been rated as one of Canada’s top strategists.

As a result of his track record for performance and ongoing visits with company CEOs and CFOs of Canada’s most prominent public companies, Nick remains a popular guest on BNN (the Business News Network) and is a frequent commentator in national newspapers.

Cody Gordon

Being with Verus Financial for over six years, Cody has been an intricate part to both the operational and investment side of the business. Having obtained his BBA from the Beedie School of Business with a concentration in finance, he continued his education further and is now a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level three candidate and hopes to complete the designation in the coming years. As an investment associate Cody is responsible for financial research and analysis, overseeing all aspects of operations, and ensuring all client’s requests are actioned in an accurate and timely manner.

Cody also works closely alongside Senior Portfolio Manager Nick Majendie and we’re looking forward to seeing Cody’s role evolve.

Outside of work, Cody is an active participant in many charitable organizations and events. In 2011, Cody completed the Ride to Conquer Cancer, which consisted of a two day bike ride from Vancouver to Seattle. Alongside his father Ken, the two managed to raise a total of $13,305.00 for the BC Cancer Foundation. While attending university, Cody played three years of Junior B hockey in the PIJHL. He is also an avid golfer and tennis player.
