She also has several years of experience working in the not-for-profit sector, having worked as a Program Coordinator and Researcher for the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy. Monique obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in History with International Relations from the University of British Columbia. She is also a graduate of the Bachelor of Laws program at the University of British Columbia Law School and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2004.
